Since few people will ever have the chance to visit the remote Northwestern Hawaiian Islands it's important that the people working to protect it, share information and stories about the place. Quarterly outreach projects, like this one at O'ahu's Ma'o Farms, are one way of reaching out.

Clark Reflections

For more than a decade Athline Clark was involved in management of Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument and other entities that preceded it. In November 2009, Clark left her role as monument superintendent for the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources to join the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Before she left she shared her memories, her experience and her vision for Papahānaumokuākea.
