Management Plan Updates
This issue addresses the release of the final Monument Management Plan. Included is a summary of public comments and basic responses on the draft plan. Remember that you can download the entire Management Plan - click here. |
This issue addresses the release of the Draft Monument Management Plan and associated Environmental Assessment on April 22, 2008––Earth Day! The update also provides information about the nine local public meetings statewide, and offers up a good news story about students from Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment and Earth Sciences who toured Midway in January of this year.

This issue highlights the management planning process, provides summary tables of views expressed during the public scoping period, outlines the vision, mission and goals of the Monument Management Plan, and ends with a "good news!" story about turning the tide of extinction for the Laysan Duck. |
