Draft Plan Now Open for Review & Public Comment
All comments must be received by or before
August 10, 2009
The co-trustee agencies for the Monument have completed the draft Natural Resource Science Plan (NSRP). The draft plan is now available for public review and comment for 30 days––July 9, 2009 to August 10, 2009.
PUBLIC MEETINGS
Two public meetings will be held where there will be the opportunity for people to ask questions and to provide formal comment about the draft NRSP. The meetings will be held on O‘ahu and Hawai‘i Island from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on these dates:
• O‘ahu, July 21:
Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument Conference Room

• Hawai‘i, July 23th:

Framework Development for the Draft Natural Resources Science Plan
We appreciated the efforts of everyone who provided comment on the Natural Resources Science Plan’s proposed research framework that was presented at a November 15, 2008 scoping meeting held at the Japanese Cultural Center.
The framework, as well as additional reference materials will remain posted on our website until the draft plan is made public. You can access these resources by using the links to the right. You can also join our list serve, which will provide you with automatic updates via e-mail.
