On August 18th, 2011, the Waikīkī Aquarium opened its Northwestern Hawaiian Islands Exhibit, which brings life in Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument to hundreds of thousands of people each year. This exhibit, years in the planning, not only "brings the place to the people, rather than the people to the place" will help inspire a conservation ethos for young and old. "The Making of an Exhibit" video gives you an inside look at how this new exhibit came together.
